Lifestyle Session ($300):
Mini Session ($150):
I distinctly remember the moment when I felt an urge to become a wedding photographer. It was a summer evening in Stillwater, MN, and I was on the rooftop of the old library witnessing the marriage of two friends. Throughout the event I kept stepping outside of my role as an attendant and imagined I was a photojournalist, telling a magnificent story of love, growth, victories after struggles, and the curious concept of two individuals becoming one. I wanted to savor all of the heart-warming emotions and the fabulous decor just as much as guests were savoring their chocolate cake. The emotions at a wedding are contagious. Even after shooting dozens and dozens of them, I am still moved to tears by some of the stories of love. Please contact me and I will gladly take you out for coffee even if you haven't 100% decided to book my photography services. This allows me to know you and your vision for your wedding day!

These sessions are all about celebrating life. Your beautiful girl or handsome boy is the star of the show, but I encourage mom, dad, siblings, pets or any other significant people to be present and involved. At times I may offer direction for backdrop setup and posing, especially with infants. When family is present, I like to be a fly on the wall, documenting your precious moments together. I love it when I am booked for all sessions (Package 1) because there is such a joy in watching these little ones develop!

The first time I witnessed a live birth, the floodgates came crumbling down. I do not cry in public. I did not think I would cry, even knowing I was about to watch my god-daughter enter the world. But there was this unexplainable, overwhelming force that just reigned in my whole being... and as I saw her for the first time, I wept. I had heard the phrase 'the miracle of life,' but it never struck chords in my soul until I had witnessed such a miracle. I still can't identify that force... But I believe it was a combination of intense love, the recognition of the sacrifice and strength of the mother, deep relief, and simply feeling more connected to my own humanity.
Birth photography is an incredible honor for me.
